As disciples of Christ we are convinced that compassion for others was the central message of Jesus. Therefore to be compassionate and help others is a large part of what it means to be a follower of Christ. Here at Millwood Christian Church there is a variety of ways to help and serve others, both locally and internationally!

Dig 4 Diabetes

Dig 4 Diabetes started the summer of 2009 as Becky and Jennifer (being the awesome, supportive spouses that they are) spent endless hours in the sun watching their husbands play in many of the sand tournaments in NWA. That summer they also decided to participate in the American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure, and were thinking of creative ways to raise money for this important cause.

'...whatever you have done unto the least of these you have done unto me'  Matthew 25
Millwood Christian Church considers it a privilege to help support the work of the Community OurReach Extension C.O.R.E..  Each month the congregation at Millwood, surrounding organizations in the community of Northwest Arkansas, and the people who participate and help at our Bingo events donate personal items that are redistributed to the homeless community in Northwest Arkansas. At Millwood community means everything and we do what we can to give back to the community we live in.

Northwest Arkansas Children's Shelter

Jesus said, 'let the children come to me'
The Millwood Christian Church has been involved in helping the Children's shelter in many ways.  From collecting donations, to preparing meals, to helping the children and celebrate birthdays and holidays folks in our church are helping to bring some normalcy to the lives of these children in need.  If you would like to be involved in this ministry please contact Beverly Keck.

Samaritan Community Center

Millwood folks gather at the Samaritan Community Center on the Third Tuesday of every month from 6:00PM - 8:00PM.
What is the Snack Pack Ministry? A Snackpack is a plastic bag filled with 8-10 healthy weekend snacks.
There are over 3,300 children in 64 elementary schools, Head Starts or Early Childhood Centers in Northwest Arkansas who receive a Snackpack every Friday during the traditional school year.

NWA Run for a Child

1 mile – 5K – 10K

We had several people from Millwood run and walk in the 10th annual Run for a Child held on Labor Day at the Pinnacle Promenade Mall in Rogers. The proceeds go to the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter. It was a beautiful day and it was exciting to visit with people in the community of Northwest Arkansas. Thank you to everyone who participated! We are already looking forward to next year! Get a good pair of running shoes and start training now!
